Lena Guzman

Lena Louise Brattset Guzman, age 45, of Holland, passed away at home on Sunday, April 2nd, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Lena was born on November 25th, 1977 to Al and Julie Brattset. She was the youngest of six sisters. In 1987 Lena was in a car accident that changed her life forever. She was a fighter and did not let that slow her down. Later she was diagnosed with cancer and fought a long battle with much courage. Lena’s boys were the love of her life. Dave, Josh and Jeremy. On July 3rd, 2000, Lena and Dave gave birth to their son, Josh. He was the best gift God gave her. On April 27th, 2002, Lena married the love of her life, Dave Guzman.

Lena is survived by her loving husband, Dave; children, Josh and Jeremy; granddaughter, Audrina; parents, Al and Julie Brattset; sisters, Kari (Kevin Derose), Berit (Jim Herdman), Ingrid (Mark Nolan), Sonja (Brad Turskey), Greta (Tom Finkbiner); 14 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, April 22nd, at Bayshore Yacht Club, 1862 Ottawa Beach Rd, Holland, Michigan, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm.
