Laura “Ruth” Rooks, age 93, of Holland died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Lakeside Villa and Vistas.
Ruth was a member of Christ Memorial Church. She graduated from Indiana University where she met her husband Bill. She was a teacher at West Ottawa schools. Most of her 28 years were spent at Glerum Elementary. She was a member of the Western Seminary President’s Club. Ruth and Bill really enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by her husband Bill of 70 years and son: Ward and Pamela Rooks of Nashville, MI; grandchildren: Weston and Brooke Rooks, William and Vicki Rooks and Scott and Katie Rooks; 5 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Christ Memorial Chapel, 595 Graafschap Road, please use entrances D or E. Reverends Bill Boersma and Jack Millard will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
