Lamont “Monte” Scott, age 64 of Holland passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center.
Monte’s hobby was bird watching. He enjoyed the Discovery and History Channels and grilling the best ribeye steaks anywhere. He played football in high school and as an adult loved musical theater and was proud of his performance in “Kiss Me Kate” at the Paw Paw Theater.
He is survived by his fiancé Lori DeLand and children: Sarah Scott (Joel Coiner) of Kalamazoo, MI; Matt (Kirsten) Scott of Williamsburg, MI and Adam, Evan, and Nate DeLand of Holland, MI; grandchildren: Emry, Cora and Max Coiner; Father: Mal Scott of Mattawan, MI; Mother: Jane Quigno of Paw Paw, MI; brother: Mike (Patti) Scott of Battle Creek, MI; uncles, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. Cremation will take place.
