Life Story / Obituary
Ken Wiley, 99, of Holland, Michigan, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2025. He was born on August 12, 1926 to George and Myrtle Wiley and was one of twelve children. Ken loved God and his family beyond measure, and he lived a life marked by devotion, service, and joy.
A lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Holland, Ken’s faith was the foundation of everything he did. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later dedicated 52 years to serving the Holland community through his business, Wiley’s Cleaning Service.
Ken was a true outdoorsman at heart. He found happiness in fishing, hunting, gardening, and mushroom hunting, and he passed that love of nature on to his family. Ken also believed deeply in creating a home filled with laughter and fun; he built a swimming pool and filled the yard with games so his children would always have a place to gather and play.
One of Ken’s greatest joys was traveling with his beloved wife, Donna. Together they explored Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, and many other places, creating memories that their family continues to cherish. Above all, Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean, and his son, Rick Wiley.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Jan (Keith) Parrott, Jean Wiley, Ken (Heidi) Wiley, Don (Sue) Wiley, and Doug (Amanda) Wiley; his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wiley; his grandchildren Heather Stone, Andrew Parrott, Travis Parrott, Tanya Doane, Kara Parker, Jenna Cozzolino, Madeline Bradley, Ashley Van Slooten, Amber Blauwkamp, Jordon Wiley, Jill Van Drunen, Jennifer Gavenda, Jeremy Howard, Erin Wiley, Tessa Repp, and Spencer Wiley; as well as 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, November 29 at First Baptist Church of Holland. Viewing and visitation will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
