Kathryn (Kathy) Brondyke, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Kathy was born on June 13, 1942, to Alvin and Myrna Potter in Holland, Michigan. She graduated from Holland High School where she met the love of her life, Ken. Ken and Kathy married in 1960 and raised two children, Kim and Kirt.

Together, they enjoyed antiquing, Hope College sporting events, grandkids and great grandkids sporting events, annual trips to Crystal Lake, and especially enjoyed trips in their motor home to the U.P.

Kathy, also known as “Gma” to her grandkids and great grandkids loved picnics and hosting family holiday gatherings. Gma loved anything involving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving daughter Kim in 2004, and sister-in-law Patricia (Pat) Brondyke in February 2023.

She is survived by her husband Ken of 62 years, son Kirt(Jean) Brondyke of West Olive; grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Brondyke, Kyle (Trisha ) Odom, Drew (Carley) Brondyke, and Mandy (Corey) Polega. Great grandchildren Bentley and Emma Brondyke, Hadley and Brynlee Polega, and baby boy Brondyke due in July. Brother, Dr. Roger (Roberta) Potter, in-laws Howard Brondyke, Roger and Jan Brondyke, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday (June3) at Trinity Reformed Church. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Humane Society.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
