Kathryn (Kassie) Koop

Kathryn (Kassie) Koop, age 99, of Holland, passed away, Monday, May 1, 2017 at American House-Beachside of Holland.

Kassie worked at the Northside Family Fare as the sample lady and at Carrie’s Hallmark.

She was President of the Women’s Literary Club of Holland.

Kassie was a charter member of North Holland Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 2004, grandson, Curtis Boeve in 2007, great grandchildren, Zachary Boeve and Emma Boeve in 2007.

Surviving are her children, Dale and Patricia Koop, Sharon and Irv Boeve, and Norman and Carol Koop; 4 grandchildren, Kathy and Doug Lenters, Scott and Joann Boeve, Steve and April Koop, and Kim and Randy Houtman; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Connie Vanden Brand; sister-in-law, Leona Folkert; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday (May5) at the North Holland Reformed Church, 12050 New Holland Street, with the Rev. Steven De Vries officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday (May 4) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
