Kathleen Van De Wege

Kathleen Van De Wege, age 61 of Holland, ended her fight with Alzheimer’s Sunday May 15, 2022 surrounded by those who love her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Barber; mother-in-law, JoAnne Van De Wege; father-in-law, Jim Van De Wege; and brother-In-law, Joel Van De Wege. She is survived by her loving husband, John Van De Wege; daughter, Jane Van De Wege; son, Joshua Van De Wege; grandson, Kyler Jansen, all from Holland, mother, Betty Barber; sisters, Lisa (John) Szczepaniak, Tammy (Chad) Christian; brother-in-law, Jim (Sandy) Van De Wege; sister-in-law, Joyce VanDyke, along with several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Pancake.

Kathleen was an avid reader, spending several days a month at the library, passing on her love of reading to her daughter. She had a passion for golf, enjoying the game at the Holland Country Club. She was a member of the Jaycees for many years and was very active with the Holland Public School, volunteering for the Athletic Boosters and involved in the PTO.

Kathleen was a loving wife for 40 years who loved nothing more than her children and her family. She never missed a sporting event or opportunity to show up for them.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
