Karon Kauffman was born in Chappell, Nebraska on September 20, 1937 to Harry David and Ethel Dorothy (Krause) Kauffman. She was the middle daughter of the Kauffman girls. As a young girl the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada as her father was a construction foreman during the building of Hoover Dam. The family relocated to Weiser, Idaho where she attended school.
Karon’s three children were the light of her life, she worked hard and persevered through many struggles to provide for them. She was a fighter and always trying to make a better life for her family.
Karon spent many years in Boise, Idaho moving to Las Vegas in 1974 then to Holland Michigan in 2009.
Karon was preceded in death by her youngest son, Martin Neher in 1998, her parents, sisters Kay Dickerson and Kora Cummings.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jay Lynn and Ed Wheeler of Holland, their children, Christopher (Whitnee) Burger, Dioni (John) Wierichs. Lloyd Neher and his fiancé Fiona Brady and children Yuriko Neher (Rick Jones), Candise (Sam) Facchinni, Ashley (RJ) Farrens, Taylor (Chad) Neher Martinez, Harbor Neher (Shana). Great grandchildren Everly, Raylee, Rolly, Keith, Morgan, Maverick, Carter and Avery.
