Karl Koppenaal

Karl Koppenaal, age 63, of Holland died Thursday, August 22, 2019.

Karl was born and raised in Holland, the son of Kenneth and Mabel Koppenaal of Holland. He attended Holland Public Schools and graduated from Holland High School in 1975. Karl worked most of his career at Parke-Davis/Pfizer of Holland. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Melanie Koppenaal, parents Kenneth and Mable Koppenaal, and sister Teresa Ros.

His family includes: Daughters, Kerry Moore, and Stacey (Dave) Zwartenkot, both of Holland; four grandchildren, Cameron and Brandon Moore, and Aiden and Makayla Zwartenkot; brother, Rich Vandepels; sisters, Gene Taylor, Penny (Jeff) Sterken, and Carol (Chris) Polich; mother-in-law, Barbara Bakker; brothers and sisters in law Cindy and Dan Klomparens, Curt and Kathy Bakker, and Shawn and Sue Bakker; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday (August 26) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel. The immediate family will be holding a private graveside gathering and no services will be held.
