Life Story / Obituary
Judith Ann (Judy) Peel passed away on August 17, 2024, in Holland, Michigan, at the age of 78 with her family at her side. Born on September 26, 1945, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to John and Lenore Vander Kuyl, Judy grew up to be a devout Christian, dedicating much of her life to writing and sharing her faith. The majority of her latter years were spent at her computer.
Judy's professional life was marked by her many years at Sneller & Sneller as a job placement specialist and in the bindery at The Printery in Zeeland. She later excelled in sales at Shaklee, distributing nutritional supplements, where she was recognized as a top national producer, earning numerous awards, trips, and even a car for her outstanding performance.
Judy is survived by her sisters, JoAnn (Dan) Atwood, Jan (Bob) Van Dyke, and Jeri Vander Kuyl-Lauer. She was mother to Michael (Angela) Wilson and Sheila (Jason) Gargala; stepmother to Debrah Peel (Jeff) Ryder; grandmother to Jordan (Courtney) Webber, Logan Wilson, and Jaemin Wilson; great-grandmother to Evelyn and Natalie.
Judy was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Richard Peel.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be announced in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to MediLodge of Holland or Hospice of Holland.
Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
