Joyce Veldheer

Joyce Veldheer, age 90, of Holland died Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.

Joyce was a member of Harlem Reformed Church. She worked at John Thomas Batts for many years before retiring from Walters Gardens in Zeeland. Joyce enjoyed gardening, roller skating, biking, cross country skiing, bus trips and she just loved being outside and laughing with all her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Veldheer, a son Charles Veldheer and a daughter-in-law Deb Veldheer.

She is survived by her children: Diane Smit and Scott DeJonge, Debra (Marc) Westrate of Allendale, Michael Veldheer of Holland and Laurie (Dave) TerVree of Holland; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister: Norma (Ron) DeVries of Overisel; brother: Gorden (Marilyn) Meeuwsen of West Olive; sister-in-law: Joan Meeuwsen; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Reverend Frank Senters will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at Northwood Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Kindred Hospice or Comfort Keepers Home Care in Holland.
