Joyce A. Inch, age 79, of Douglas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Joyce Ann MacPhail Inch was born in Chicago, IL October 7, 1941. She grew up in the Portage Park neighborhood and attended Carl Schurz High School. After graduation she worked at Harris Bank, married and moved to Michigan to raise her family. Joyce was a Mom first and foremost even when working two jobs. She always found time to be with her children. She loved to travel to California, Scotland, England, Disney world or returning back home to Chicago to visit relatives. Her travels were always filled with laughter leaving all those that went along with her memories to last a lifetime. During her last twenty years she became Ga Ga to her grandchildren Jack and Megan whom she loved and adored. She would always have a story to tell about their latest milestones and accomplishments over coffee. Joyce was a staple at Marro’s Restaurant in Saugatuck where she was employed for 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Muriel MacPhail and survived by her beloved children, Cynthia Inch of Chicago, Brett Inch of Saugatuck, Jennifer (Kyle) Kalman of Holland and her grandchildren Jack and Megan Kalman, her brother George (Deb) of Chicago; nieces, Michelle Bruno and Lori Macphail; cousins, Rochelle Bosy, Drew Maloof; goddaughter, Rebecca Johnston and a ton of special friends.

A private service has been held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Feline Friends of Chicago - Lisa Ward, 417 South Jefferson #204, Chicago, IL 60607 and Harbor Humane Society - 14345 Bagley St, West Olive, MI 49460 or Wishbone Pet Rescue - 165 Blue Star Hwy, Douglas, MI 49406.
