Josh was born in Holland, Michigan, on September 27, 1985, to Michael and Jane Oosterhouse. He attended Holland Public Schools and graduated from Holland High in 2004. After graduation he attended technical school focusing on the art of welding. He took tremendous pride in his welding work and over the years crafted many items for his family with metal. Josh was employed by National Bulk Equipment and enjoyed playing softball on the shop team. Josh had natural athletic ability and had a very competitive spirit. He was also a standout wrestler for Holland High. Hunting and fishing were Josh’s other favorite activities. On Thanksgiving Day, he took his wife Melissa out hunting for her first buck. He loved to show people new things and had the patience to teach others. Josh was never afraid to try something new. He had a great sense of humor and an easy smile. On September 14, 2018, he married the love of his life, Melissa (Trevino) Oosterhouse. They spent the last four years enjoying life together with their blended family. He was currently attending All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake. Josh was loved by everyone that knew him and he will truly be missed.

Josh is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Oosterhouse; son, Hunter Oosterhouse; step-daughters, Maddox Hebebrand and Maycie Hebebrand; father in-law, Doug (Pamela) Patosky; mother in-law, Betty (Michael) Johnson; parents, Michael and Jane Oosterhouse; siblings, Stephanie Oosterhouse-Wind, Jeremy (Rachel) Oosterhouse, Matthew Oosterhouse, Sara (Ryan) Nighswander and Ryan Oosterhouse; many nieces and nephews.
