Johnathan D. Herlein, age 20, of Holland died Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

Johnathan liked building things with his hands. He helped remodel a bathroom and put in floors in sisters rooms. He was always tinkering with something or tearing things apart to see how they were made. Johnathan was preceded in death by his sister Tiffany, his grandpa Jim Herlein and his grandmother Jean Currier.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Mary and Chris Shirey of Hamilton; Father: Steve Herlein of Holland; grandfathers and grandmothers: Betty Herlein of Holland, Frank Currier of Rubi, MI, Kathy and Mark VanAvery of Michigan and Sally and Sidney Shirey of South Carolina; brothers and sisters: Sam and Mike Hanson, Christine and Dustin Montgomery, Michelle and AJ Walters, Ashley Shirey, Kim Shirey, Christopher Currier, Brenna Herlein, Jakob Herlein, Josiah Herlein and Rheeni Will; aunts, uncles and many cousins.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at New Richmond Baptist Church, 1909 Transport Lane, Holland, MI 49423. Reverend Frank Senters will be officiating.
