You may have heard or read that John R. Wells has died. Nothing could be farther from the truth. He is more alive now than he has ever been! He was born in the flesh January 15, 1929, in Riverhead, NY and born of the Spirit September 1948. He was predeceased by his parents, Martha (Rose) and Howard A. Wells, and his brothers George R. Wells (Doris), and Horace "Pete" Wells (Charlotte).

He is survived by his wife Geraldine (Jerry please). His children Rebecca L. (David) Brandt, and Stephen H. (Kathryn) Wells. There are four grandchildren, Lelia and Lisa Brandt, and Austin John "AJ" (Rayna) Wells and Erika (Keegan) Nixon, along with a beautiful great-granddaughter, Josephine Kate Nixon. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that also grieve with them but rejoice that one day they all have assurance that they will see "Poppie" again.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 17 at 3:00pm at Dykstra Funeral Home- Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave. Holland. There will be 2 hours of visitation prior to the service starting at 1:00pm. A live stream will be available here for those who are unable to attend in person.

For those who would like to send cards directly to Jerry, please include a picture of yourself with your card. That way, she will connect the name with a memory much more easily. Thank you, - The Wells Family
