John Joseph "Joe" O'Brien

John Joseph "Joe" O'Brien, age 57 passed away September 3, 2023.

Joe was born in Chicago, IL on June 27, 1966 to William and Barbara O'Brien. He was the youngest of six children. Joe graduated from Saugatuck High School where he excelled in many sports. After high school, he went to Michigan State University for a year and eventually joined the Army/Army Reserves. Later in life, Joe enjoyed traversing the United States as an over-the-road truck driver. Joe also enjoyed history, war re-enactments, reading, and sports (especially the Minnesota Vikings).

He was preceded in death by his father, William O'Brien.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara O'Brien; siblings, William (Cindy) O'Brien; Sara (Steve) York, Michael O'Brien, Mary (Jeff) Carper, Kathryn O'Brien; nephews, Wil (Tiara), Jordan, Bailey, Connor, Keegan; nieces, Meaghan (Brenton) and Kayla.

Joe will always be remembered for his sharp intellect, his kind heart, and his wicked sense of humor. He will be so deeply missed.

Joe's life will be celebrated at a private family mass.
