John Dreyer Jr., age 84 of Holland, passed away August 24, 2025.

John was born in Zeeland Michigan to John E. and Marjorie Dreyer. He attended Holland High School and shortly after married the love of his life Marilyn Roeters. John had a love for building and using his hands, which led to him starting his own business, Dreyer Concrete. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, John was an avid outdoorsman and spent many weekends at his cabin in the U.P., or during the winter months, working at the Sebastian Inlet State Park in Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Sr. (Donna) Dreyer; mother, Marjorie Sequin; brothers, William Dreyer, Charles Dreyer; sister, Virginia Meurer, and son in-law, David Draisma.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn; children, John Dreyer III (Shelly Raak), Mary Jo (Rick) DenBleyker, James (Susan) Dreyer; sister, Lisa (Dave) Lantz; step brother, Vince Nieboer, Jeff (Rea) Nieboer; step sister, Marlene Barkel; brother-in-law, Peter Meurer; 7 Grandchildren; 4 Great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 28 at 1:00pm at Beechwood Church in Holland. A one-hour visitation will take place prior to the service. Burial will take place at Blendon Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Optimal Care Hospice.
