Joanne Geary

Joanne Geary, age 83, of Holland, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick in 2014 and her brother, Dick, in 2015. Surviving are her children, Kathie Perrault, Fred (Ruth) Geary, Laura (Jon) Marialke of Holland, Tim (Glennis) Geary of Kentucky, Teresa Geary (Michael Coutts) of Indianapolis and Brian (Janice) Geary of Zeeland; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Bob (Maryann) Schumaker, Bill Schumaker, Luie Schumaker and; brother-in-law, Kenneth Duemler; nieces, and nephews.

Joanne was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. She graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School. She was a very talented homemaker, worked at Nolton Furs as a seamstress, an office associate at Physiotherapy Associates, and retired from Resthaven Patrons. Joanne was a member of the Northpoint Assembly of God Church for many years. She was known by many as being sweet, warm, and loving to everyone she met. She was an ordinary woman with extraordinary qualities.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at the Northpoint Assembly of God, 4200 152nd Ave., with the Rev. Joe Coffman officiating.

Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street.
