Joan C. Bosch

Joan C. Bosch, age 83, of Holland, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Joan was born on April 27, 1940 to Joe & Nella Vander Leek in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Joan and her husband, Bob were charter members of Ridgepoint Church in Holland. Mrs. Bosch earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Western Michigan University. She taught for Holland Public Schools at Jefferson Elementary for over 30 years. Joan had a competitive spirit and enjoyed an active lifestyle. She played competitive tennis for Calvin College for two years. Joan also enjoyed playing pickle ball and golf. Joan also biked the Holland Hundred numerous times. In retirement Joan and Bob spent many winters enjoying the Florida sunshine. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Bosch is survived by her children, Susan (Tim) Ellis, Tom (Traci) Bosch, Sally Perez; grandchildren, Jackie (Ray) Maldonado, Gabe (Aleah) Ellis, Dakota Ellis, Kristina Bosch, Brooke Bosch, Alex (Dani) Bosch, Michael Perez, Joseph Perez; great-grandchildren, Johan & Ada Ellis, RJ & Kike Maldonado, Rowan Perez; brothers in-law, Vern & Mary Bosch, Ed & Judy Bosch; sister, Mary Van Der Puy.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Johan and Nella Vander Leek; husband of 57 years, Bob Bosch; son in-law, Al Perez.

At Joan's request, no public services are being held.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd, Holland, MI 49423.

Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of the Mulder Chapel.
