Jerry Horn

Jerry H. Horn, age 86 of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Graduate of Flint Central High School, Jerry was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the Korean War. In 1956 he married Louise (Lou) Welsby. He retired from General Motors Fisher Body Grand Blanc Plant after 37 years of employment. Jerry was a member of the Flint Elks 222 for over 45 years serving as Exalted Ruler 1990-1991, and various other positions. Besides being an avid golfer, he also loved working in the yard and spending time in his workshop. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert Horn and Paul Horn.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years Lou Horn OF Grand Blanc, children: Jerry and Roxanne Horn of Winnebago, IL, David Horn and Pamela Spencer of Flint, Michael and Heidi Horn of Holland. Six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Marion Horn and Karen Horn, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 from 4-7 pm at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan. Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday May 2, 2019 at 11 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
