Jennifer Marie (Kok) Gryczka, age 40, of Holland, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Jen died after more than two years of suffering and she is at peace now. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kaylee; parents, Bob and Cynthia Kok; two brothers, Rob (Leah) Kok and James (Sarah) Kok. Jen also leaves her beloved Martin Trevino.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Kok.

Jennifer loved life. She cared deeply about nature and adored being outdoors. She loved the ocean, mountains, old trees, birds, camping, and bon fires. She was extremely fond of traveling and making adventures happen. Having a heart for children, Jen worked as a nanny, a daycare employee, and she worked for a pediatrician. She loved the neighborhood kids. Jen liked cats; she loved people, she could talk to strangers and made friends wherever she went. Jennifer also had a passion for reading and libraries. Generous to a fault, she often gave her last dollar to someone who needed it. She truly had a heart of gold. During her illness, she was able to help homeless people with small gifts and food. Some of her hobbies and activities included arcade games, railroad tracks, feeding birds, squirrels and giving small gifts to the neighbor kids.

A year ago, Jen wrote these words:

“My Facebook memories reminded me today that I have had epic adventures, met amazing people across all walks of life, laughed and cried, read a zillion books, lived a zillion lives, cried, lost people, fell in love a few times, and raised the most amazing human on earth! I have enjoyed the sun and fun, flora and fauna, I took a thousand pictures, and just basically lived a good life! I’m getting baptized at the end of the month and I am very excited! Not sure how much longer I’ve got here on earth…. Regardless, I’m going to make every single day count!!”

Goodbye, Jen, you are already missed.

A memory gathering for family and close friends is scheduled for Spring 2025. When the date is scheduled, it will be published on the Dykstra Funeral Home website.
