Jennie Van Liere

Jennie Van Liere age 95 of Holland died Monday March 5, 2012 at Appledorn Living Center.

She was born in Zeeland Twp, and was a resident of the Holland area her entire life.

She worked as an accomplished seamstress for various companies over the years. She was a charter member of Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Aid and Bible study groups. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Joy in 1951, and her husband Henry Van Liere in 1975.

Surviving are her children, Roger and Cathie Van Liere of Zeeland; Dorothy and Bruce Bazan of Holland; Mary and John Boss of Zeeland; Don and Keli Van Liere of Zeeland.

Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren,and 1 great- great granddaughter. Sisters and brother-in-law Bertha Hulst of Graafschap, and Gertrude and Stanley Louwsma of Drenthe; Sister-in-law Henrietta Van Liere of Holland, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church. Officiating will be the Revs. Dick Stravers and George De Jong. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 6-8 pm at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes Inc. 188 West 32nd Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
