Jeannie Louise Lanning Westra born May 2nd, 1941, to Mary Jean and Ellis Gates of Fremont Michigan. Raised on a dairy farm in Fremont. Attended Western Michigan University and married Richard Lanning. Preceded in death by her late husband, Richard, Her parents and her brother Dennis Gates. 3 children Richard Lanning Jr, Ryan Lanning and Richelle Kinzie (Dave Gawlak). 3 grandchildren Alandra Lanning, Chloe Lanning and Richard (Ricky) Lanning. She loved watching the birds from her sunroom, collecting angels, eating ice-cream and visiting her children and grandchildren. Special thank you to Kristy Leslie for her kindness and care over the past 3 years, enabling Jeannie to live in her own home until the last 3 months.
The family will be planning a celebration of life in the future.
