James Helmer

James “Jimmy” Michael Helmer, age 62, of Holland passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 9, 2011 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus.

Jimmy was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He worked at Kandu Industries for many years. Jimmy enjoyed participating with the Friday Night Rollers bowling league.

He was preceded in death by his father Dr. John Helmer in 1998 and his mother Eileen Helmer in August of this year.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Dennis and Vicky Helmer of Granger, IN, Trish Helmer of Stanfordville, NY, Mary and John Tropilo of Holland, MI, Kevin and Deanna Helmer of Arroyo Grande, CA, Maureen and Bob Colin of Carmel, IN; nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2011 at Dykstra Funeral Homes - Northwood Chapel 295 Douglas Ave in Holland.

Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM one hour prior to the service at the Northwood Chapel.
