James A. Ronda went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Egbert J. Ronda, Theresa Ronda Borgman (Harold), sister Jane "Ginger" Vandermolen, an infant daughter Leann Beth, and great-granddaughter Destiny Mae Ronda.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn, and children Jim Ronda, Dave and Kathy Ronda, Les and Patti VanDyke, Dave and Shari Yff. Grandchildren Sarah (Justin), Shannon (Zac), Sarina (Kyle), Luke, Zach (Casey) VanDyke, Jordan (Matt) Grooters, David and Brad Yff and 11 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his brother Ray (Nancy) as well as several brother & sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was born in Chicago, Ill and graduated from Oak Park/River Forest High School. He graduated from Hope College and worked at Zenith Electronics for 32 years and then moved to Holland, MI and worked at Porter Polygon until he retired at 62. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and music. He recorded and did sound for Holland Chorale, Orchestra, Youth Orchestra and Evergreen Chorale. Jim enjoyed winters at Nettles Island, Florida where he sang in the choir and also did video and recording for the Theater Guild.

A memorial service will take place on Friday December 9 at 11:00am at Harderwyk Ministries (1627 W Lakewood Blvd, Holland), with an hour of visitation prior to the service at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Lakewood Cemetery. To watch the service live, please click here
