Hollis Brouwer

Hollis Brouwer, age 88, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

Hollis retired from Holland Hitch after 30+ years of employment.

He was a member of Harlem Reformed Church for over 60 years.

Hollis is survived by his wife Ruth, of 69 years; children, Rosemary and John Baumann and Larry and Brenda Brouwer; 3 grandchildren, Brent and Lynn Baumann (Avery and Mya), Steve and Shelly Koeman (Leah, Megan, Ashley, Macy, and Brooke), and Dustin Brouwer; brothers and sister, Junior and Nancy Brouwer, Arlene and Alvin Blaukamp, and Theodore Brouwer; in-laws, Roger Smeenge, Shirley Jacobs, Roger and Hermina Jacobs, Joyce Jacobs, Lois and Lloyd Immink, Judy and Dale Windemuller, Sharon and Rick de Haan, Paul and Marie Jacobs, David and Cindy Jacobs, Arlene and Ron Morley, Arlene Koeman, and Glenn and Shirley Schrotenboer; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday (May 27) at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Avenue, with the Rev. John Nyitray officiating.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm today (May 26) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
