Harvey Hoffman

Harvey A. Hoffman, age 78, of Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 14, 2010 in Ontonagon County, MI.

Harv owned and operated Hoffman Excavating with his son Kurt. He was a member of Harlem Reformed Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Holland Fish and Game Club.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene Hoffman of Holland; his sons and daughter-in-law, Ken Hoffman of Holland, Wayne Hoffman of Holland, Kevin Hoffman of West Olive, and Kurt and Harriet Hoffman of Hopkins; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; his brother, Robert and Phyllis Hoffman of Holland; his sisters, Betty Smidt of West Olive; Dori and Jim Geib of Holland, and Carol Rutgers; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday November 19, 2010 at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Avenue with Rev. John Nyitray officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Burial will take place in North Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to Harlem Reformed Church.
