Gregory Walker

/Greg Walker of Holland, MI passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2022, at the age of 47, after a brief illness.

Greg was born on May 1st, 1975, in Grand Haven, MI. After graduating from West Ottawa High School, he went on to study Geology and Anthropology at Grand Valley State University.

Greg is survived by his beloved son Chancelor, his parents Pat and Martha Walker and his siblings Jennifer Whitworth, Pat Walker, Zack Walker, and Casey Walker.

There was so much that Greg loved about life. He loved to share about his worldwide travel adventures. He was especially fond of his memories of his multiple trips to Alaska and boating all the way down the Mississippi. He loved to share his love of spelunking with friends and family. He was most content either in the kitchen cooking for his loved ones and at work or being out on the boat. Greg’s favorite interests were meteorology, geology, and astronomy. The stars will always remind us of him. He was deeply loved by his family and will be sorely missed.

Greg did not like funerals. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alliance for the Great Lakes at https://greatlakes.org as he felt strongly about the preservation of the Great Lakes.
