Glen Arthur Steer passed away at his home in Holland, Michigan on Monday, June 3, 2019.
He was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on July 25, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Flynn) and Glen H. Steer and brother, James Peter Steer.
Glen graduated from Sacred Hearts Catholic School and Church where he served as an altar boy. Glen earned his Eagle Scout Badge, went to St. James High School and graduated from Haverhill High School. He joined the Marine Corp. in 1968 where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Glen graduated from Boston Architectural School and M.I.T. Sloan School of Business. He spent many years working overseas for the State Department.
He was a keen thinker, a great humorist, a world traveler and enjoyed the finer things in life.
He recently retired in Holland, MI.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Akinyi Muga; Siblings: Helen E. Steer (Manchester, NH), Mary F. Roberts (Plaistow, NH), Jenna McRae (Augusta, GA), John T. and Gerda Steer (Liberty Hill, TX); several nieces and nephews and many life-long friends.
