Geneva Lawson, age 92, of Holland, MI passed away June 2, 2016 in Cottonwood, AZ.

Geneva was born July 15, 1923, to George Henry and Gertie (Overbeek) Oetman in Hamilton, MI. She was one of seven children. She was raised on a farm just outside of Hamilton.

She worked for Gem Trailers in Grand Rapids, MI as a cabinet maker. She moved from Byron Center to Holland to work for S2 Yacht Company for 15 years until she retired.

She was a member of the Wyoming Seventh-day Adventist Church. The last six years she spent her winters with her son Robert and wife, Carol.

Geneva will be lovingly remembered by her 2 sons, Alfred (Merriann) Lawson, of Grand Haven, MI and Robert (Carol) Lawson, of Cottonwood, AZ.; 6 grand-children: Al (Toni) Lawson, Laura (Dave) Beauchamp, Angela (Mike) Rose, Lyle (Cindi) Lawson, Andrea (Arlen) Farley, Chrystal (Andy) Bermudez; and 11 great-grandchildren: brother, Wallace Oetman; sister-in-laws, Connie Oetman and Ginger Oetman, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Funeral Service for Geneva will be held on June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Dykstra Mulder Funeral Chapel, 188 W 32nd Street, Holland, MI, with visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to 3ABN Ministries will be appreciated.
