Gene Zoet, age 86, passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born and raised in Holland and Graduated from Holland High School. Mr. Zoet served his country honorably in the United States Army. He graduated from Hope College after his time in service. Gene was a devout Michigan fan and lifelong salesman for Sackner Products. Mr. Zoet was a longtime, active member of Hope Church in Grand Rapids and in later years he became a member of First Reformed Church in Holland.

Mr. Zoet was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; sisters, Barbara Bazuin, Shirley Zoet; parents, Ralph and Jeanette Zoet. Gene is survived by his sons, Tom Zoet of Traverse City, Jon Zoet of Holland; grandson, Mitchel Zoet, who attends Hope College; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Julie.

Visitation is 2-4 & 6-8pm, Thursday, December 13, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral service will be held 11:00am, Friday, December 14, at First Reformed Church, 630 State Street, Holland, MI. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard. The Rev. Dr. Dan Gillett officiating. Graveside services will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Holland. Memorial contributions can be made to First Reformed Church – 630 State Street, Holland, MI 49423.
