Fred Rast

Fred Lee Rast, age 75, of Holland, Michigan died Monday, December 3, 2018 at home with his loving wife and family.

Fred was born in Huntington, West Virginia on February 28, 1943. He graduated from Marshall University and served in the Army National Guard. He was employed by BASF for 38 years where he worked as Accounting Manager. Fred loved the Lord and was active in church throughout his life as a deacon, board member and church treasurer. He was a member of Central Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Karen Rast, and two sons, Mike and Greg Rast, three grandchildren, and his sister Patricia Dusing and her daughter Sherri of Deltona, FL.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Reverend Larry Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, West Virginia.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
