Flora Mayans

Flora Mayans, age 90, of Holland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Holland, Michigan.

Flora was born in Cuba on December 12, 1931. After immigrating to the United States in 1966, she spent over three decades working at Sligh Furniture. She was a dedicated employee and rarely missed a day of work. Flora was also a devoted mother and grandmother. As a genuine people person Flora loved to converse with anyone, even if they did not speak Spanish! Flora enjoyed cooking and feeding all her loved ones. She also spent many hours outside gardening and working in the yard.

Flora is survived by her two children; Armando (Barbara) Mayans & Ondina Pas; eight grandchildren, Armando Mayans Jr, Ian (Angelica) Mayans, Brad (Chica) Potter, Amanda Wolff & Randall Mayans, Carlos Espinosa, Brian Pas, Chad (Hilary) Pas; 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way!

The family will receive visitors from 11:00am to 12:45pm, on Wednesday February 16, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00pm following visitation at the Mulder Chapel. Father Charles Brown presiding. Graveside services and interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland.
