Evonne K. Cook, age 64, of Holland died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Grandville, MI., Evonne graduated from Grandville High School, class of 1970 and also attended Grand Valley and University of Michigan.
For 38 years she was employed by AT&T in Holland and retired in 2011.
Evonne enjoyed traveling to Florida and South Carolina as well as spending time on her beach, gardening and decorating for holidays.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bob Cook, sons; Stephen (Melissa) Cook of Grand Rapids, David Cook and Elizabeth Veenhoven of Grand Rapids, mother-in-law, Vivian Cook of Holland, brothers, Bruce (Sheryl) Talsma of Jenison; Mark (Mary) Talsma of Grand Rapids, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday 5:00 PM at First Reformed Church, 630 State Street with Rev. Scott Heidema officiating.
Friends may greet the family Wednesday 6:00 to 9:00 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St. Holland.
Memorial gifts in Evonne’s name may be given to Hospice of Holland.
