Evelyn “Evie” Hobrath

Evelyn (Evie) Hobrath, 73, of Holland MI, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025.

Evelyn was born in Speyer, Germany to Frank and Maria Hobrath onJanuary 6, 1952. She worked in the banking industry for many yearsand volunteered on a MAPS mission trip for two years to Germany. She was a member of the Assemblies of God denomination.

Evelyn is survived by her two sisters, Judi (Sieg) Krueger and Sylvia (Steve) Coffing. She has two nephews, Ken (Christine) Krueger andSeth (Kenzie) Coffing, and also two nieces Angela (Phil) Schembriand Tiffany (Jonathan) Leonardo. She was great aunt to Ace Schembri,Steele Schembri, Avae Schembri, Caleb Krueger, Olivia Krueger, Ana Clarissa(Charli) Leonardo, Nicolau Auzinho-Coffing and Koa Coffing.She also has many beloved cousins and families in the US and Germany.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, grandparents,and aunts and uncles.

A special thank you to Sylvia Coffing (sister) for overseeing her carewhile in assisted living. Thank you to the many relatives and friends whocame to visit her while in Appledorn Assisted Living. We are also thankfulfor all of her doctors and caregivers.

Celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.
