Ellen Mast

Ellen J. Mast, passed away May 3, 2018 in Colorado. She born in Holland, MI to John and Ruth Bast. Ellen served with the March of Dimes. She also served as both a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She volunteered for both the Hospice and Methodist Church thrift stores in Florida. Ellen was a member of the Vintage Car Club, and Women's Clubs both in MI and FL. She was a member of the Literary Club in MI. Membership in Beta Sigma Phi Sororities in MI, FL and CO. She served on many church committees. Ellen loved traveling, being a snowbird, sitting by the pool reading. There was nothing like good chocolates. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Henry on May 18, 1997. Surviving are her children, Doug (Pat) Mast of CO, Michael (Vicky) Mast of SC and Mari-Beth Mast of FL; 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Memorial services will be 2 pm, Friday (May 18) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, with the Rev. David Bast officiating. Burial will be in Graafschp Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Porter Hospice Foundation.
