Elizabeth M. (Bette) Comport, 95, widow of Warren W. Comport, passed away on August 12, 2018.
In World War II, Bette riveted planes for Douglas Aircraft in California. She was a long time employee of the West Ottawa School System. She was a founding member of the Hollandaires Barber Shop Quartet and a member of the Sweet Adelines Choral Group.
An avid golfer, she won the Michigan Senior Golf Olympics and went on to win the gold medal in the National Senior Golf Olympics at Quail Hollow Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky in 2007.
Bette is survived by her sons, Charles of Lincoln Park, MI, Bradley (Pat) of Harbor Springs, MI, her granddaughter, Kristen (Brandon) Weber and her twin great grandsons, Ethan and Evan Weber of Berkley, MI
