Elaine Boes

Elaine Norma Boes, 96 years old, passed away at home in Holland, MI September 8, 2022.

She was born December 4, 1925 to Melvin (Peter) and Dena Hertz. She married Dale Boes and they raised five children together. Dale and Elaine spent 30 years wintering in Arizona and traveling the country in their RV. Elaine was a member of Beechwood Church in Holland since 1956. She had a deep faith in God and she lived and walked this faith every day, not just Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Boes, her son John Boes and grandsons Nate Boes, Mason Lievense.

She is survived by her son Steven (Judy), son Dave (Anne Drozdowicz), son Dan (Mary), daughter Julie, brother Ron Hertz (Ruth), brother Jack Hertz and sister Karen Brink (Terry), sister-in-law Lois Johnson, grandchildren Austin Boes (Stephanie), Gisel Boes, Allie Asuncion (Jason), Steven Boes (Whitney), Johnny Boes, Ethan Lievense, Jonny Petto, Matt Collins and great grandchildren Makai Boes, Maya Carlson, Tyler Collins, Miles Carlson, Elsie Carlson, Zoe Boes, Summer Boes, Emma Hyun, Addison Asuncion.

A memorial service will be held at Beechwood Church on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 am with refreshments/ visitation after service. Pastor Dave Lantz will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Holland. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Northwood Chapel.
