Egbert "Ed" Boer, age 95, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, died on Sunday, July 30th at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Ed was born to Peter & Amy (Kuiper) Boer on May 6, 1928. He managed Boers Transfer and Storage, and retired from Holland Motors Express/USF Hollland. He was a member of Hope Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Barbara "Bobby"; daughters, Barb (Darda) Huls, Kathy Boer-Tubbergen; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Dan) Angeli, Chris (Kim) Huls, Emma (Zach) Jandereski, Claire Tubbergen, Lydia Tubbergen; brother, Cal (Karen) Boer, along with many nieces and nephews.
Ed was a loving and devoted family man, who will be remembered for his strong faith in Christ, strength, sense of humor and his amazing smile.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 5 at 4:00pm at Hope Church, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service with Rev. Jill Russell officiating. A private burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
