Dora Perez

Dora Perez, age 88, of Holland, passed away Saturday October 21, 2017. She was born in Edinburg, TX on June 4, 1929, to Victoria Silva and Uvaldo Garcia. She married Ruben L. Perez on April 25, 1948. Mrs. Perez worked at Baker Furniture and later on she was employed by Park Davis until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ruben, in 1983; sister, Maria C. Rosales; mother, Victoria Silva and her step-father, Juan T. Silva; brother in-laws, Victor L. Perez of Marina, CA and Lorenzo L. Perez of La Feria, TX; sister in-law, Sumiko Perez (wife of Victor) of Carmel, CA. Mrs. Perez is survived by her son, Ruben G. Perez; daughters, Nelda (Wayne) Wolbert, Julia Perez, Patricia G. Perez, Yvonne Lopez; brother, Juan Silva Jr. of Holland, sister in-law, Juana Perez of La Feria, TX; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday October 27, from 5-8pm at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral mass will be held 1pm Saturday October 28, at St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, Holland. Father Charlie Brown will officiate the mass. Internment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church - 171 West 13th Street, Holland, MI 49423. The Family was served by the Dykstra Funeral Home - Downtown Chapel.
