Donald (Curly) Lokker

Donald (Curly) R. Lokker, age 87 of Holland died Tuesday Nov. 14, 2017 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Holland, Don graduated from Holland High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as an accountant for Dunn Manufacturing and was a long time member of Christ Memorial Church where he served on the staff before his retirement.

He was a member of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of the Police, Romero Club, Holland VFW, and was an avid fan of Hope College Basketball as well as both Michigan and Michigan State Sports.

He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Lokker in 2006.

Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna Lokker, daughter Diane (Jack) Wiest of Zeeland, daughter-in-law, Mary Lokker of Holland, 5 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Bette Visscher of Holland, Linda (Larry) Topp of Holland, brother-in-law, Robert Brewer of Holland, as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Don will be held Friday 11:00AM at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Rd. with Rev. Jon Brown officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.

Friends may greet the family Friday 10-11 prior to the service at the church.

Memorial gifts may be given to Christ Memorial Church Youth Ministries or Western Theological Seminary.
