David McKay Post, 67 of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away on Monday August 1, 2016. David, son of Margaret McKay Post and David E. Post of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is survived by his wife, Sara Williams Post of Charlottesville, Virginia, his brothers; Mark Post (Helen) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Robert Post (Nancy) of Holland, Michigan, and Scot Post (Nancy) of Maitland, Florida. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. David graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Calvin College in Grand Rapids and The George Wythe School of Law College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. David practiced law in Grand Rapids, Michigan for several years and in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was actively involved in international business up until the time of his death. David was a member of The Virginia State Bar Association and The Sons of the American Revolution where he served on their board. He was an active member of Farmington Country Club. David loved many activities, especially vacations to the family cottage on Lake Michigan. He enjoyed international travels with his wife Sara. David had a passion for golf! He loved playing with his wife and

his golfing "buddies" at Farmington Country Club. He especially loved "walking nine" at West Ottawa Golf Club where four generations of Posts have played in Holland, Michigan. He also spent many years researching his family heritage which made him eligible to become a member of The Sons of the American Revolution. A Celebration of David's life was held at the Post Cottage. In lieu of flowers the family asks that charitable donations be made to The Ottawa Hill HS Scholarship Fund in care of Steve Marshall, 40 Pearl Street NW # 805, Grand Rapids, MI 49506; Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan or The American Heart Association.
