David J. DeFeyter

David J. DeFeyter, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday May 7, 2014.

Dave was a painter at Chris-Craft, Kooi Industrial, and retired from Haworth.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Della of 65 years; his children, Diana (David) DeVries of Hudsonville, Karel (David) Waidelich of Florence, KY, and David ( Luann) DeFeyter of West Olive; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

David is also survived by his brothers and sisters- in-law, Charles (Marilyn) Stegenga, Philip (Jo) Stegenga, Egbert Bareman, Gloria Stegenga, and Patrica (David) Heerspink. There are also several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church, 517 West 32nd Street, with the Rev. Paul Davis officiating.

Burial with Military services will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Sunday, at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.
