Danny Berry

Danny Glen Berry, age 68, of Holland, Michigan, passed away on July 23, 2023.

Dan was born in 1954 in New York City, New York. His parents were Jessie and Claire (Beekman) Berry. Dan was a business owner, who owned and operated Dan’s Painting and Asian Grocery.

He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed exploring the outdoors. He spent his free time with his 13 grandkids, by showing up to their sporting activities and cheering on their accomplishments. He was a joker and was always up for a good time. He encouraged those he met to succeed and was kind to everyone.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Claire Berry, his two sons, Matthew Berry and Danny Berry Jr., and his brother Gary Berry.

Danny is survived by his wife; Lai Teurn-Berry; daughter: Jamie Berry; stepchildren: Cindy Pico, BJ, Nai, and Lo Saeteurn; brother: Jack Berry, his partner, Cheryl Berry; sister: Kim Schlehuber, her partner Karl Schlehuber, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Dykstra Funeral Homes – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Rev. Mark Waterstone will be officiating.

The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
