Daniel Van Oss, age 74 of West Olive passed suddenly at his home on August 12, 2022. He worked as a supervisor for many years. He was most recently employed at West Olive Estates.
He served in the US Army from 1968 - 1970 achieving the rand of SP5. He enjoyed working outdoors, listening to music, and was often referred to as "whistling Dan".
He is survived by his wife, Melody; sons, Steven Daniel (Tricia), Derek Scott (Carrie); 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and brother, Terry (Kristina) Van Oss.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Norma Van Oss, along with aunts, and uncles.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 18 at 3:00pm at Restlawn Memorial Gardens – Chapel (994 Paw Paw Dr, Holland), with a 1-hour visitation prior to the service at 2:00pm.
