Daniel E. Petry

Daniel E. Petry, age 42, of Holland, died on December 24, 2006 en route to Cincinnati, OH to a Christmas family gathering.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, he came to Holland at the age of six. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1982 and attended Ferris State University studying auto mechanics and business. After college, he joined his family's business, Hamilton Industrial Products, which operated for over 30 years. He recently started his own business, R & D CNC Machining.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Petry; his two sons, Daniel Reinhold Petry and Alexander Hans Petry; his parents, Reinhold and Eva Petry; his brothers, Hans and Karla Petry of Virginia, Mike and Michelle Petry of New York, and Eva Maria and Ronson Cheong of California; his in-laws, Robert and Margaret Boss of Grand Rapids; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and relatives in Germany.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 3:00pm at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 480 North 152nd Ave, with Father Phil Nguyen officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Dykstra Lifestory Funeral Homes, Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street.
