Clarence Tamminga

Clarence Tamminga age 89 of Holland died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in Sheldon ,Iowa, and moved to the Holland area when he was 14. He served in the U.S. Army during ww11 and started Tamminga Heating and Cooling in 1949. He 1995 he retired.

Clarence was a longtime member of Harderwyk Ministeries, where he served as a past deacon, elder and was involved with the Cadets program.

His wife of 55 years, Edna Mae Tamminga, preceded him in death in 2006.

He is survived by his children;

Dawn (Mark) De Vries , Cindy (Gerry) Schreur , Tim (Denise) Tamminga, Kris (Greg) Johnston, Dave (Tammi) Tamminga and Phil (Margaret) Tamminga all of Holland, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren with 1 anticipated arrival, as well as brothers and sisters; Henry (Joyce) Tamminga of Zeeland, Carla Tamminga of Holland, Bud Tamminga of Glenn, Alice (Ken) De Neff of Holland, Lillian (Marty) Chrispell of Holland, Bill (Bev) Tamminga of Holland and in-laws, Connie Tamminga of Holland, Ray Schutt of Holland, Ed Keller of Cadillac, Nella Hoeve and Marjorie Prins both of Holland.

Funeral services will be held Wedneseday, 11:00 AM at Harderwyk Ministeries, 1627 West Lakewood Blvd. with Rev.s Dominic Palacios and Andrew Gorter officiating.

Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be today (Tuesday) 5- 8 at Harderwyk Ministeries

Memorial gifts may be given to: Hospice of Holland.
