Cheryl Dell

Cheryl Ann Dell was born May 1, 1944 in Edmore, Michigan to parents Melvin and Ann Martin, the oldest of three siblings. She passed away with her family by her side on April 19, 2009 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Cheryl and Leroy Dell were married on June 29, 1963, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Howard City, Michigan.

Preceding her in death was her father, Melvin Martin in 1998.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Leroy (Lee); children, Jeffrey and Kristi, both of Denver, Colorado; mother, Ann Martin of Stanton, MI; and one grandson, Jeffrey R. Dell. Also surviving are her sister, Renee (Dennis) Adams of Stanton, MI, brother, David (Sandy) Martin of White Cloud, MI, sister-in-law, Mary Lou (David) Byers, of Sheridan, MI; nieces and nephews.

Cheryl excelled as a wife, mother, business owner and loved golf, compiling two holes in one during her lifetime. Besides golf, she also enjoyed brook trout fishing in Northern Ontario with Lee and has a trout pond named after her there.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 1:00p.m., at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland, MI. Officiating will be the Rev. Earl Merz.
