Chuck loved his family, his in-laws and enjoyed them and they loved him too. Rob and Becky Jackson, Stephen VanBergen, Elizabeth Stacey, David and Linda VanBergen, Johannes and Deize VanBergen. He helped Anna’s family in so many ways. The most precious gift was helping them to laugh and enjoy life. He brought out the best in our families. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joy. Chuck had many friends he loved and cared about their life. He was involved in children’s ministry for many years. He strived to teach how much God loved them.

Chuck had a living and steady faith in Jesus. He had the gift of hospitality. He ministered to many young friends and many called him Uncle Chuck.

He was an active mentor, always on the look-out for anyone he could help and followed through with what was needed. Chuck enjoyed playing games, had a lot of fun, and cheated as much as he could get away with. He enjoyed fishing with friends whenever the occasion called for it, which wasn’t as often as he liked. His idea of hunting was to take toys and snacks to the property owner’s family and spent the day in play.

Chuck and his wife made sure whenever they traveled, family was included, which made the experiences even more enjoyable.

Share some of your memorable moments with his family and friends. We will enjoy reading them and smile. He was a very special man.

There will be a celebration in his honor sometime in the future.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
