Charles (Chuck) DeFeyter, 84, of Holland passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Meijer Heart Center.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty; three brothers-in-law, Garret Delger, James Prins and Roger Brink; and granddaughter Jocelyn Niles.

Chuck leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Jan; his three daughters, Elisabeth (Ben) Tinholt, Char (Randy) Zwiers and Cindy Fishnick; his stepchildren, Kim (Clark) Laarman, David Niles, and Lisa (Tom) Maratea; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Prins, Alma (Merle) Boerman, and Mary Ann Dileski; brother-in-law Greg (Karen) Horn, along with many extended family.

Chuck was a veteran of the US Army. He was a hardworking and driven man. Chuck began as a bricklayer with his father. Later, he became a realtor. He was a partner in Woodland Realty and also a land/housing developer. He was a founder of Lakewood Storage Center. At 77 years of age he returned to real estate and was still employed by Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt.

Chuck was a master gardener and enjoyed working outdoors. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Parkside Bible Church, 14461 James St., Holland with a Memorial Service immediately following. Pastors Gary Spykerman and Joe Johnson will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Lakewood cemetery.
